Operation
The RP-1501 CPC is designed to remove oxidation from eutectic salt overheat detector center conductor contacts without disassembly. This tool has been approved for use on all Boeing commercial aircraft overheat warning eutectic salt detectors. If the loop resistance measures high and out of limits, simply connect the RP-1501 to the errant loop and turn it on for one minute. When the loop is tested again, if there was oxidation on the connectors, the loop resistance will now be within limits.
